Glossary: Water Pressure Key Terms
Residential Water Pressure Tanks
Commonly referred to as galvanized, diaphragm, bladder or captive tanks, residential water pressure tanks are designed to operate off your current water supply and serve as an intermediary source of water for your home. Holding anywhere from a few gallons to several hundred gallons, residential water pressure tanks rely on air pressurization to provide you with a steady, even flow of water without having to run your pump every time a faucet is turned on.
